- - ROHM è stata fondata a Kyoto, in Giappone, nel 1958. ROHM progetta e produce semiconduttori, circuiti integrati e altri componenti elettronici. Questi componenti trovano casa nei mercati dinamici e in continua crescita di wireless, computer, automotive e elettronica di consumo. Alcune delle attrezzature e dei dispositivi più innovativi utilizzano i prodotti ROHM.
La presenza di ROHM nel mercato nordamericano continua ad espandersi con una sede logistica a San Diego, in California, un centro di progettazione a San Jose, in California, un centro di controllo qualità a Novi, Michigan, un ufficio vendite a Guadalajara, in Messico e una rete di vendita che copre supporto al marketing, alle vendite e all'ingegneria per i clienti del Nord e Sud America dal Canada al Brasile. Oltre a una forza vendita diretta, ROHM gode della collaborazione di diverse organizzazioni rappresentative delle vendite e distributori di componenti elettronici leader del settore.
Per oltre quarant'anni, ROHM ha continuato a concentrarsi sulla filosofia fondamentale della personalizzazione. L'azienda ha lavorato a stretto contatto con i produttori di apparecchiature per sviluppare attrezzature di nuova generazione e utilizzare la tecnologia acquisita attraverso questi sforzi per proporre soluzioni di sistema ai propri clienti e fornire continuamente valori elevati.
La maggior parte delle apparecchiature di produzione di ROHM è stata sviluppata internamente. Questo ha dato a ROHM la capacità di rispondere immediatamente alle mutevoli esigenze del mercato. L'estensione dei prodotti ROHM è il risultato delle innovazioni e della capacità di adattarsi alle richieste del mercato. Gli OEM automobilistici, delle telecomunicazioni, dei computer e dei consumatori sono tra i principali utenti finali dei prodotti ROHM.
